I clicked on a link in an email or text message. Should I be concerned?
Prior to clicking on a link in an email, you should hover over the link to determine the true address. If the address is a jumble of numbers and letters, it could be malware. On a smart phone, it is more difficult to determine the true address. Be very careful to not click on a link unless it is from a known and trusted source. If you have clicked on a link, and you’ve determined it to be an attempt to get your personal information, you should immediately shut down your device and take it to a professional to determine if malware has been added to it.
